Ancestor:Descendants:

The spiky plentplaque has evolved a useful adaptation. Instead of eating the plent's pre-chewed food, it now focuses its energy into directly consuming the teeth. As a result of this, the plentplaque evolved into the spiky plentplaque, which has evolved much longer "spikes" to dig into the teeth, thus giving it its name. Once a colony of spiky plentplaque has eaten all of the teeth in its mouth, they will eat away the jawbones of the host plent. This plent's jawbone will fall off, and the spiky plentplaque will move into the mouth of any plent that tries to scavenge the meat of the jaw. Because of this successful spreading technique, they have replaced their ancestor in all biomes except for an isolated population on Huggs Island and in the sea.
