Ancestor:Descendants:

The stalagmite shellworm replaced its ancestor, the flood shellworm. As the Huck Limestone Caverns became far from the forests and boreals and were covered by the ice sheet of the ice age no floods came to the cave and the local flood shellworms started to starve. There they have started to consume the lithoamoeba in the cavern walls and it had become their main food source. They no longer hibernate like their ancestor but can still fold in and blend with the cave walls in order to protect themselves from predators. Their back scraping legs have become fiercer and are now adapted to scrape the lithoamoeba biofilm from the walls. They can still from all of their lower body through little hair and release of acids but will mainly feed from the bottom near the scraping legs and the front near the sensing horns.
