The stalkshell split from its ancestor and spread out in the shallow areas of the LadyM Ocean. They have developed a kind of sexual reproduction where in addition to the asexual egg production they also produce a "half egg". Two half eggs, sometimes from the same individual, combine to form a new egg.
In addition to this new system of reproduction they now have an elongated shape which makes them much taller and also has bands of elastic tissue that run vertically, allowing it to remain upright in all but the strongest currents.
