Ancestor:Descendants:

The stunted river plyent split from its ancestor, it lives along the river edge where is is muddier and the current is weaker. They cluster into tight groups and work together to kick up debris so that each individual doesn't have to work as hard or accidentally fall over when doing so. Their leaves are now stretched out by a single pair of prongs which can open when hit by light or close when dark or in danger. The bases and shape of their legs are slightly different to stabilize them while still allowing them to kick up debris.
