The Swamp beans are microscopic creatures that live in huge colonies in the bottom of many swamps around Sagan. They feed on the organic materials in the waters. They also release a special protean that glues together the organic materials around it. Then because of the weight this materials sink and fall on the swamp floor making it easier for the beans to feed on it.
