The symbioship currybug has split from its ancestor, the round currybug. This happened when a group of round currybug eggs was picked up by a storm and thrown out into the sea near the beach. Some of the eggs landed on a passing symbioship. The symbioship currybugs have easily adapted to a new lifestyle of eating the closely related symbioship hydroglobes.
To reproduce, they now lay their eggs in the "chimney" of the symbioship. Not only does this keep them safe from predators, occasionally a release of spores will send their eggs flying into the air, spreading to new symbioships. They are now immune to the "drowsy" effects of the hydroglobes.
