Ancestor:Descendants:

The teuthopins split from their ancestors, the beach sliders. They have entered the threshold of coldness. Increased layers of fat and skin solve this problem. They have the ability to change colors to blend in with their surroundings, just like the ancestral beach slider. Teuthopins can even have their tridigital hand disguise as a swarmer, so the unsuspecting victim would be snatched easily. Their primary means of communication is via the vocal sac on the forehead. Teuthopins can sense vibration through their skin, but they don't necessarily 'hear'. The two breathing holes' tracts have lengthened, so they can warm the air before they breathe it.

Teuthopins are rather intelligent creatures and can live in social groups that can consist to up to 15 members. As stated before, they can talk to each other via vibrations from the vocal sac. They can normally fish for swarmers, but they catch bigger prey with some teamwork, which happens to be the polar skysnapper. The group members punch a big hole into the ice, and then they all camouflage themselves. One or two members place their hands into the water and disguise them as a swarmer. When the skysnapper closes in, the group grasps the victim and inject it with toxin in order to kill it. After that, the whole family can have a feast. But the food possibilities don't end there. They can quietly stalk upon a nobit while camouflaged, and when it is the right time, the victim is grasped and killed.
