Ancestor:Descendants:

The thorncrest bounder replaced its ancestor, the duohorn bounder. It has evolved several more advanced features such as swiveling ears, hoofed toes and small spikes on their front limbs. Their tails now have more nostrils so they can sing even more elaborate songs to each other. They still use their echolocation at night and hear much better with their more advanced ears. Like their ancestor they feed on small glass flora. They travel with a bounding, leaping stride and hopping. They travel very quickly, and continuously migrate between different biomes going where food is available.

Living Relatives (click to show/hide)

These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)
  • Stubhead Bounder (genus Volanspedis)
  • Blind Cavehorn (family Volanspedidae)
  • Icejumper Leafshell (order Celerisaltores)
  • Passarurso (superorder Dromeophylla)
  • Golden Phlyer (subclass Rostrophylla)
