Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from their ancestor, the towerglobe has spread across the island. It has formed a unique growing style, with an original parental towerglobe on the bottom, on which an offspring will grow off of, after which one will grow of it and repeat the process further. Nutrients are passed throughout the tower via micro-roots that form directly beneath them and also serve as anchors, while in the main one they absorb nutrients from the ground. As the tower grows higher, the micro-roots near the top become weaker, allowing the newest towerglobes to be blown off and away in order to form new towers. The towerglobe, in its entirety, is capable of growing to nearly 8 cm tall. However, they rarely achieve this as the winds that hit the island are relatively strong.

"Newborn" towerglobes have a lighter coloration than that of their parent. This coloration will eventually darken, typically within the period of one week, after which they will fall off and start a new colony.
