The urprey split from the twilight ureel. Since prey is hard to find in the deep sea, especially for such big predators as the ureels, some of them started to use blood of bigger fauna as a food source. Their descendants decreased drastically in size and adapted to a more comfortable life as parasites. Urpreys use their clawed tentacles to attach on their host's skin and and pierce it with their tooth for sucking blood; such attacks leave characteristical scars on their host's skin. Urpreys can ingest about 3/4 of their own weight and starve for months after a meal.
