The twilight ureel has replaced it's ancestor in many of the lower depths of the Jujubee Ocean, namely in the Twilight and Abyss Zones where it's improved senses can help it sense prey. Aeons of evolution have streamlined this predator's body, and it's eyes and pseudo-shell have vanished. Eyes were useless in the lightless depths of the ocean, and the shell just proved to be a fatal cage when it collapsed it on itself with the tremendous pressure at the lower depths. Now the twilight ureel uses a bioelectric-sensing organ, similar to the ampullae of Lorenzi, to sense it's prey down in the depths. When it reaches it's prey, it constricts them first with it's tentacles, than with it's body. The last step it takes is the fatal sting of it's tooth, which liquefies the prey's insides in a matter of minutes. The tooth is than inserted into the body and used much like a straw, while the ureel's long body constricts the prey's body, squeezing out the last drops of liquid.
The Twilight Ureel has developed an intricate mating ritual, which involves the females looking for and courting males with an elaborate dance. When the two have copulated, the female lays a string of eggs that she attaches to a rocky cliff or a indent in the ocean floor.
