Ancestor:Descendants:

The volcolilly replaced its ancestor, the beachlilly. Like its ancestor it has developed horizontal slits in order to keep it from blowing down. It gets extremely warm on the black volcanic dirt or sand and has develop better heat resistance from the harmful rays of the sun. Also it can gather light more efferently even in dim or ash covered skies. Some have even grown in the mouths of the cave because of this adaptation, even though its not really a cave specific species. Its airborne spores are distributed at the top of the tall stalk via the wind. It grows well in the rich volcanic soil as well as the sandy beaches.
