After around 50 million years the great Orbit Voltflora fossils that used to live in the active volcanic region of Vivus Volcanic have reappeared in the now arid Fermi High Desert. Things have changed a lot since they last saw the light of day. Their seeds have since reached Mason and seeded the moon with life which thrived until the atmosphere finally evaporated off. Now, their huge iron-rich fossils litter the hills and cliffs, even now dwarfing the current flora in the region. Orbit Voltflora used to reach sizes of 2000 meters long. Now their enormous iron fossils rust and slowly erode away, providing a haven for lithotropic microbes, quickening the decomposition process. The reason why so many fossilized is that many of them got trapped in the lava of the great Super Volcano eruption of Gen 140. Other such fossilized Orital Voltflora may exist in Maineiac Volcanic and Vivus Volcanic, hidden deep under the layers of ash and hardened lava.
