Ancestor:Descendants:

The whirlstal split from its ancestor, the anchor-branch korystal, and spread to the nearby Jeluki Salt Lake. Its small spiky fractals grew larger and curved, which whirls the plankton-filled water straight to the whirlstal's feeding pores. The whirl stall has grown smaller, which squeezes the water between the arms and the body much faster, allowing more swirling motion and more food to be eaten. Its roots are longer and deeper but are seldom seen above ground.
