The xeno filtershroom replaced its ancestor, the filtershroom. Due to island gigantism it grew to 10 times its ancestors size. Its very long feathery filters now have lots of room to grow after Huggs Island sank and became Xeno Shallows. At the bottom of the cap it grows resistant spores which break off in the current and float around until they find a new place to grow. Its strong deep roots not only keep it anchored in the sand but also expels excess salt it obtains from the water.
