Ancestor:Descendants:

The azularians split from their ancestors and have shrunken further in size. Needing the food requirements of a creature only half its length due to its serpentine form, it thrives in the waters of LadyM ocean, fearing no predator save for other scylarian species. They mate for life with two mates forming a lasting bond and aiding each other in hunting and protecting their young for their first few weeks of life, after which they will go off and live on their own until they find their own mates.

Young azularians are born with a single sensory chin "tentacle" which focuses their senses on smaller organisms such as whorls and gilltails on which they primarily feed, though by the time they reach sexual maturity it will have split in two, spreading it senses farther out so that it can sense prey over a farther range.
