Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from its ancestor, the rosy scylarian has shrunken in size. It has possessed even more specialized feelers that are extremely sensitive and are used to a great extent while hunting. Due to its coloration and serpentine form, it favors hunting red echofin and elongated gilltail. It will also hunt quilled nailfin, going so far as leaping onto beaches where colonies exist in order to catch them off guard and hopefully drag one back into the water.

For the first five years of their life, their bodies are not relatively serpentine nor have they reached their sexual maturity yet. Once they past this age, though, they will go through a growth spurt and nearly double in size. At this point their serpentine form resembles that of their ancestor, and thus become ready to hunt down their prey with a greater efficiency.
