Ancestor:Descendants:

The bubblewraptor split from its ancestor, the vivus dinarunner. It has become more terrestrial and has spread across Vivus island. It has grown larger and feeds upon large herbivores. Their bubblewrap-like skin covers all of their body and helps keep them warm, especially in the higher elevations. Their black coloration helps them blend in with the black volcanic soil of Vivus island.

They work together in groups of 6-8 called "scrags" to take down larger prey or to make grabs at the young of said larger creatures. Taking down large sick or injured prey like the Haglox can be quite a task. However, with teamwork they can even take down those behemoths. Individuals live for 10 years, with reproductive behavior similar to their ancestor. However, their "scragging" behavior means that multiple mating pairs will share the same territory working together to hunt but rearing their young separately. Young typically take several weeks to learn to hunt, joining the scrags in hunting prey within 2 months.
