Ancestor:Descendants:

The cave filtersquid split from its ancestor, the sitting filtersquid. It will sit on the sea cave walls filter-feeding. This can include organic particles washed in from the ocean or even the tiny cave krillpedes or gateway swarmers. It is has lost all its pigment since it spends all its life in the cave. It is already blind so moving around in the dark makes no difference to it.
