The marine filtersquid split from its ancestor, the flashing filtersquid. With the flash cells going extinct it had to find a new niche so it came to the coasts. There it adapted camouflage to mimic the marine bubbleweed. It look much like marine bubbleweed leaves. It uses its six tentacles to hold on to the stem of the marine bubbleweed and then stays perfectly still. Its filter-feeding mouth resembles the pink hydrogen bubbles. They sexually reproduce each full moon and then will lay their eggs directly into the water.
