Ancestor:Descendants:

The cave torch has split from its ancestor and specialized in cave dwelling. Its leaves now have small feeding pores surrounded by a phosphorescent liquid. The flower evolved bioluminescence as well, and the cave torch uses it to attract the bumblecaveling so they can come and pollinate it. The young worms walk on the cave wall until they find a firm place to plant root. Because the cave torch is deprived of its sun light, it has resorted into filter feeding microorganisms that lost their way and got enamored in the phosphorescence of the cave torch's leaves. Though it still has photosynthesis capabilities, the lack of light in the cave renders this ability useless.
