Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from its ancestor, the cervicilarian has spread out towards the Jujubee Ocean. The main feature of the cervicilarian is its long neck. This neck is used to reach farther away prey that may be hiding in an area most predators couldn't get to, such as holes and small caves. The gill-pouch is now able to store more water, allowing it to stick its head out of the water for longer periods of time. This can be used to hide its head from prey, letting the cervicilarian reach down and pull its prey into the air suddenly, and then eat the prey.

The cervicilarian has reactivated genes from effulgent scylarian, bringing back the bright color scheme. Like its distant ancestor, the cervicilarian's color scheme becomes more vibrant in the mating season for males. This is intended to attract a mate. Cervicilarians are mostly solitary creatures until a mate is found. They will stay with that mate for seven months before going off to find a new one.
