Ancestor:Descendants:

The chut has replaced the velishroot in the Flisch Temperate Forest. In the forest, the hugograss had completely taken over the ground. The huge food supply encouraged the local velishroot to change their diet. The huge supply of food led to the chut growing much bigger and much bulkier, allowing the chut to ramble around the forest in the shade of the bullying fernt, feasting in their lower leaves and the carpet of hugograss.

They live in social groups of up to 10 individuals with unrelated females and two or three males, usually related. The groups have a home territory and the resident males defend it viciously. Their large ears help them hear distant snapping of twigs and seeing as they are the only large creature above ground, it will probably be invading males or a young female that has just left her group after maturing. Either way, it is important the males check out who the intruder is.
