The crocuser split off from the colonial crocusium, migrated to Sparks Swamp and spread to Sparks River, Glicker Lake and Glicker River. It has grown to twice it's ancestor's size in order to increase surface area for collecting sunlight, it can't live as an individual cell anymore and must remain as a colony, the outer cells are hard, while the interior cells are soft. It is slightly transparent to allow light to reach all the cells.
