The crypt crystal split from it's ancestor. This crystal lives exactly like it's ancestor. The difference is that this crystal changed it's shape to catch even more sunlight in it's tropical climate. This allowed the crystal to grow even taller than it's ancestor. The crypt crystal has also developed an upper spike to defend from other organisms.
