Ancestor:Descendants:

The crystal foi split from its ancestor, the sandy foi, and has spread to all the temperate and tropical coastlines of Glicker. It has grown twice its ancestors size and now mimics the green aquatic crystal flora. Not only is it green, but its angled shapes perfectly mimics crystal flora. Unlike real crystal flora its body is soft and squishy. Like its ancestors, its digestive system is on its belly. Anything small enough to get stuck on it will be dissolved with gastric acid ejected from the skin on the belly. Its interior body consists of muscles and there is no skeletal structure in its body at all. It uses this muscles to flap its "wings" to swim. The skin can pick up vibrations in the water and it uses its 3 primitive eyes to see. If threatened, it will hide between the crystals of green crystal flora.

Living Relatives (click to show/hide)

These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)
  • Blind Foi (family Extoileidae)
  • Scavenging Sucker Foi (order Extoileiformes)
  • Featherbelly Foi (class Myogelatia)
