---|---|
The crystalmite split from its ancestor when a strand of ghost crystal lost their ability to group together. Normally this strand would just die off but a few spores made it into Yokto Mountain Lake. With little competition they have grown explosively in numbers and create a sort of underwater forest at the bottom of the lake. They have regained the pigments from their distant ancestor, the gateway shrub, and have grown slightly to gain more surface area for photosynthesis. Other than that they have not changed much from their ancestor's.
