The terrace crystal split from its ancestor and moved up through the Darth Lava Tube Caves and eventually onto Vivus Volcanic in these warm and resource rich environments they have grown to twice their ancestors size. Exposed to light they have regained the orange photosynthetic pigment of the gateway shrub. The terrace that gives this species it's name functions to increase photosynthetic surface area. The most common number of terraces is two but individuals with three or four are not unheard of.
