Ancestor:Descendants:

The cultured poppy split from its ancestor and doubled in size. It now takes advantage of the mass harvesting that phantom capiri perform, they now spread their spores by having themselves plucked and consumed. Their gas is several times stronger than that of their ancestor because of this new way of spreading spores, the poppies with the strongest gas were sought after by the capiri and were the most successful.

They no longer live in caves and have developed three pairs of nubs on their sides to aid in photosynthesis. These nubs always face north and south, they grow this way based on where the Sagan sun rises and sets, getting the morning and evening light and avoiding the harsher afternoon light that may dehydrate the poppy.
