The dome-headed gulper has split from the star-tongued gulper and moved out to the Huggs-Yokto Savanna. Its "wooden bones" have improved with a stronger spine and now a dome head. This is used by males to fight for mates like Earth's rams. It has changed its color to stripes to blend in with the grass. It uses its tongue for smelling like its ancestor and will use it to "sniff" out small prey.
