Ancestor:Descendants:

The duke yuuvee replaced its ancestor, the yuuvee. It has grown to twice its ancestors size and is completely carnivorous. It eats small flying fauna like the tropoworm and the cloud swarmer. They now have developed a mouth pouch to carry their young in. After they are born they stay in the mouth pouch for a week before flying on their own. During this time the mother cannot eat and thus must fast the entire week. They mate for life and the male gets all the food for their offspring after they are born. When hunting for food they will work as a flock and herd prey into a ball. Once compressed they will take turns diving through it.

Their skin is a bluish-purple to help protect it from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the atmosphere. Males however have a blue crest which they use to attract mates. Females have a small bluish-purple crest like the rest of their bodies. They also have dark lenses over their eyes to keep down the glare of the sun. They frequently use calls from their butt-nostrils. They have to be very loud to hear over the wind and thus are extremely loud. Their lungs are very efficient to deal with the thin air and their bones are very light to help reduce weight. Their legs have almost disappeared and are now just tinny buds.
