The feathers of the foliage worm atrophied to a nonfunctional size, because the adult worm will live in the foliage of the forest and attachments would hinder its movement. Unlike the adult, the larvae live as parasites inside of the hole of immobile plents such as the auger plent or the double plent. When the larva has become an adult, it will leave the plent through the hole at the top and continue its life in the foliage of the forest. The eggs will be laid inside the holes of the immobile plents near the opening.
