The frabuki split from its ancestor, the metamorph fraboo. It is a direct result of "neoteny". It never grows into the pupa or adult form. This new "adult" form is identical to the larva form of the metamorph fraboo. The only differences is that it has a cloaca to reproduce at the end of its tail and its gills have developed more between its chitin segments. They appear red due to their iron rich blood.
They are completely blind and deaf and must feel around to navigate. They feed on both microbes and rotting organic matter at the bottom of the water. They can tolerate more salt than their ancestor could and thus have spread to Jeluki Salt Lake, Jeluki Salt Bog and LadyM Polar Sea. They lay their eggs under the sand to hide it from predators.
