Ancestor:Descendants:

The Grassland Lizatokage split from its ancestor, the lizatokage. They have moved to the grasslands where it spread west from Vivus all the way over to Dixon. It has expanded its diet to the new flora in its range. They no longer eat glass flora and eat mainly purple flora (and some small fauna). Like their ancestors they are adapted to arid environments and do best in warmer biomes. Their eggs are laid under the soil and have soft turtle-like eggs. Under the soil they can keep from loosing moisture. They still communicate using their dewlap and can change color and show general needs and emotions.

Their back plates have gotten wider and have side nodes which stick out. This is to deter predators which might want to attack them. Their legs have gotten stronger to support their larger size as well as help them run away from predators. They will graze with other herbivores and keep an eye on species who can hear since they cannot. This helps them from getting ambushed by predators they cannot spot.
