Ancestor:Descendants:

To protect itself from the cold as well as predators, some craking pipents evolved longer legs and also became bulkier. This however required a few things: first of all the long legs weren't favoured in the coldest biomes it lived in, and few biomes could provide enough food for the pipent to eat. The only biome that matched this evolution was Huggs Rocky, which is where the hulking pipent evolved from cracking pipents who wandered there in search of food. The tannenbaum carnofern was what provided the hulking pipent the food it needed to grow bigger. It is very similar to its ancestor, with the following exceptions: it is hulking, with its face angeled downwards; this is to be able to reach and eat its food easier, which is very close to the ground. It also provides the head of the hulking pipent with a better blood flow. The boney heel-finger that was used to avoid close contact with the cold ground has now evolved much bigger, into a hoof-like foot, while the other toes devolved. The last exception is the black color on the back, which wasn't needed and just wasted the energy that is vital for the hulking pipent. It did not replace its ancestor.
