Replacing its ancestor under Yokto Forest and evolving along with the bluestalk, lepousan still goes about an underground, shroom-feeding lifestyle. Since it feeds exclusively on bluestalk, and due to its burrowing nature, it has decreased greatly in size in order to be better able to tunnel underground and to support itself with a narrow food source. It still burrows deep into the water table, in order to find bluestalk that exists down there, which, ironically, is there due to lepousan bringing the spores down. Due to the fact that every flora in Yokto Forest reproduces using spores, its second set of spore-sensing eyes have greatly decreased in size and function, simply from a lack of usefulness. In addition its photosynthetic area has decreased, since even on the surface more of the area is shaded, the former "wings" are now little more than stubs that are purely vestigial.
Lepousan is more social then its ancestor, and now lives in family pairings where the parents bring food to the young who remain in a family burrow, safe from predators. To this end, it has developed the ability to make slight chirping sounds, and has increased its hearing ability in order to perceive them, allowing lepousan to listen for potential mates or hear if their young are in danger. In order to camouflage to the new environment, its coloration has also changed drastically, although areas of slight blue tinge remain from the purple of the past.
