The lokeeto replaced its ancestor in Darwin Tropical Rainforest. With the majority of its prey extinct it has changed its lifestyle from periodic feeding-frenzies to parasitism. Since its ancestor could eat a great variety of creatures is is able to drink the blood of the plents of the region. However, is preys more often on the barkskin because it can do little to remove it, though the barkskin is so large that even a swarm of lokeetos can't do a great amount of damage. Their is another reason they feed on this giant ketter; they take the nerve-poison from the host and use it on other creatures, when they land on a host they secrete the poison from their needle-tongue and from the claws on their wing to numb the that particular area of skin so they can feed undetected, they also have a rough patch of skin on their ventral posterior region to help grip their landing surface. This is especially important because they are colored green to blend in with the barkskin and are thus conspicuous anywhere else. However, their reproductive rate is so high that this is not too big of a problem.
