The maineiac bubbleweed split from its ancestor, the marine bubbleweed. It has re-adapted to life in freshwater. It thrives in the volcanic rich soil of Maineiac Polar River. It the water is mostly very cold there are always some spots that are geothermal heated by the volcano. In those spots the maineiac bubbleweed thrive the most. However if the river completely freezes over they will die, however its bubble seeds can survive until the river thaws again.
It has not changed much compared to its ancestor. Like its ancestor, it still has hydrogen-filled seed bubbles. These bubbles also keep the leaves upright and buoyant in the water. When its bubbles fall off they actually float up and out of the water into the air before landing back into the water. They asexually reproduce these "bubble seeds".
