It now only gets off the trees in order to lay its eggs in the mega orbitrees’ roots and to drink. It even mates on the tree usually at night times in great groups. One can often find up to 30 orbitreehoppers on a single mega orbitree mating in huge groups on every branch mounting each other. They can protect themselves from predator using their sharp legs by whipping with them as they hop away.
