The panckefoot replaced its ancestor the cauda. Its legs and tail have fused together making one flat foot it jumps on. Its leg muscles are extremely strong and allow it to jump very far. This helps when escaping predators fast. They are not very good climbers anymore and must stay on the ground. The will use their pancake-like foot to thump the trunks of the fluffytree to get the puffy seeds to float down to eat. They also expanded their diet to temperate spade-leaf fruit. They must compete with the pink phlyer which is around the same size as it. They will try to scare them away from the fruit by thumping the ground or waving their bright blue ears at them. If that doesn't work they will try to jump on them.
They are still very social creatures and will share the seeds and fruit they find with younger members of the herd. They will often call to each other in soft "cooing" using their "butt-nostril". Males will do leaping contests to see who wins the right to mate with the females of the herd. The alpha male will only allow males to be in the herd if they do not mate with the females. Those that break the rules will be attacked or even stomped on.
