The ziraber split from its ancestor. Unlike the cragagon, the ziraber's large incisors have fully modified into an actual wooden beak and still retaining teeth in the back of its mouth, making its jaws similar to that of Earth's triceratops. The ziraber has evolved to further adapt to the volcanic terrain it lives on by being able to leap between rocks and being able to walk on the nails of its feet when walking on all fours on hot rock; this also reduces the likelihood of it being infected by the fang keryh in comparison to its ancestor. This plent also has evolved hands that are better at grabbing onto objects and to scratch at predators that would want to eat it. Much like its ancestor, the ziraber has wooden spines, though the ziraber only has them on its back, which reduces weight on the body and allows for more speed. The back toe has also modified into a small spur that it uses to kick from behind. The zirabers living in the Vivus Volcanic are able to coexist with the sealkey by sometimes feeding off the sapshrooms growing on sealkeys with its newly evolved wooden beak, along with feeding on sealkey carcasses that are covered in sapshrooms. Finally, the ziraber has re-evolved capabilities of photosynthesis that its distant ancestor, the notooth, once had; unlike the notooth however, the ziraber does not photosynthesize with leaf-wings, but only with the chloroplasts in its body, it has evolved this to help it through during leaner times when food is not so available.
