Ancestor:Descendants:

The pioneer cryobowl replaced its ancestor, the fruiting cryobowl. It has developed large strong roots which it uses to break apart even the most tough soil. Its major success lies in its roots which allow for the growth of the nitrogen fixing microbe called the nixus. It has developed a symbiotic relationship with the nixus by creating nodules for them to grow in and in return the nixus produces a nitrogen compound that helps the pioneer cryobowl grow. When the pioneer cryobowl dies the fixed nitrogen is released making it available to other beach flora and this helps to fertilize the sandy soil. In addition as the pioneer cryobowl not only spreads nixus to new biomes but nitritus, nitratus and denitritus, thus completing the nitrogen cycle in barren biomes.

It was so successful that it also replaced its relative the cryobowl and box cryobowl. Like its ancestor its has a symbiotic relationship with the cryodome hydroutine. It spread the cryodome hydroutine to the biomes it spreads to. In addition it has developed a symbiotic relationship with the armored cloudswarmer where it helps pollinate it and in return it can eat its fruit. This has allowed it to spread to all the biomes it spread to as well. The armored cloudswarmer also replaces its relative drake cloudswarmer.
