Ancestor:Descendants:

The poison humpskunik replaced its ancestor, the humpskunik. It has doubled in size and now grows more fatty humps on its back. Each hump is poisonous, which is why it is colored brightly to ward off predators. Its front beak lies flat against the ground and its powerful mouth muscles suck in the microbe rich ice and snow it scrapes off the ground. The ice and snow are its source of water. However they cannot eat too much or risk cooling down their internal temperature. So they will eat a small amount throughout the day. In addition their photosynthesis helps them stay a bit more active than they would normally be able to be on such a poor diet. When they get the chance they will feed on the microbes inside cryobowls and even use them to spawn in. However when there are no cryobowls around they will dig their own spawning pools.
