Ancestor:Descendants:

The burroskunik replaced its ancestor, the burrowing diveskunik in Drake Tundra. It now spends all its time underground and has lost its ability to photosynthesize. They have gotten smaller and have bigger fatty lumps on their body to help it feel the ground around it. Their front limbs have wood-like scoops which dig through the soil. Its single eye-stalk is now fused to its body to help it crawl though the tunnels better.

Without any nogbarrels it thrived and became the dominant subterranean species in Drake Tundra. They no long dig into glaciers and stick to areas with dirt rather than ice. Their dens can become huge linking burrows from all across the tundra. They also have developed "spawning burrows" in which ice and snow are brought in in order to melt and turn into an underground pool. Once filled with water they will mate and then spawn in the underground pool. The pools can vary from a small pool for a single couple to a mass communal pool when many build onto the pool. They also bring food to the pools so the offspring can feed.
