The purple sickness split from its ancestor. They now group together by binding their flagella. The species arose after a mutation allowed some purple sickness to infect purple flora in the atmosphere. They live on the skins of the flora, so in order to survive, they started grouping together to avoid being knocked off by wind or other organisms. They take advantage of the solar sailors life cycle and ave spread to all the beaches that it lives in as well. Organisms infected by purple sickness will have boils on the skin, blockages of photosynthetic cells, and in severe cases, and inability to respire.
