Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from its ancestor, the shorthorn scylarian has developed a pair of small, stubby horns. These horns are a mutated pair of back teeth on the lower jaw, that have protruded outward and have become thicker. A thin layer of skin currently covers the horns, acting as a layer of protection to prevent the horn from breaking easily.

With these horns, the shorthorn scylarian has developed a slightly more aggressive behavior. To hunt rosy scylarians, the shorthorn scylarian swims quickly next to its prey, leaving deep gashes in the rosy scylarian's side. This will mortally wound its prey, making it easy for the shorthorn scylarian to kill its prey, if it hadn't died already.
