The slingberry split from its ancestor and doubled in size. The berry stalk has been altered so that when it dries it will attempt to straighten a fiber under the joint will eventually snap from this tension and the berries on their hair thin tethers will be whipped into the air, where they will then glide to a new location. It is very fibrous and it grows its leaves one by one out of one another. Before it grows a leaf it will grow a berry stalk, this stalk will be cut off from its water supply once the new leaf starts growing.
Although they are sparsely scattered in the Ittiz-Ovi Desert, their population is dense in and around the Ittiz River.
