The slingnormous split from its ancestor, the slingberry. With the success of the sporeberry tree, the slingberries were cast into the shadows of their enormous cousins. The only slingberries that were able to survive were the ones that could compete. Over the generations, they soon grew taller and taller, until they could compete. But the process in which the plant would grow ever taller did not stop. So they soon towered over the other organisms of Abello, becoming the largest living organisms currently on Sagan IV. Otherwise, they are the same as their ancestors.
