Ancestor:Descendants:

The slitherworm replaced it's ancestor, the slithering centiworm. It has doubled in size, and now has become a full-fledged predator as well as an egg-eater. It has developed gills on the back of it's head so it can breath better in air as well as in water. It constricts it's prey with its long, slender body and eats it with its new mouth once the prey is suffocated. It also now sheds it's skin once every 2 months of it's life.

Its new mouth now looks and works just like an ambush sauceback's mouth, and has grown spikes externally protruding out of the mouth's surface. This assures that no prey can escape it's mouth once in it's vicious jaws. This new mouth's bones also aren't connected to the skull, allowing it's mouth to expand so it can eat it's prey whole. It may take a few hours to completely swallow and digest. It also has started to slither up trees to catch arboreal and flying prey, and can invade egg-layer's nests so it can add eggs to it's menu. They still make their nests underground, though.

These "serpents" hunt solo, and, like it's ancestor, mate at the Nuke River, but now lay many hard-shelled eggs that are abandoned once laid. Those that hatch have to survive the competitive waters of the Nuke and Terra Rivers and avoid predators that may eat them. They then go to the Wright Tropical Rainforest once they reach adulthood 5 months after they hatch. They live an average of 25 years if not eaten.
