The spiral crastrum has replaced its ancestor in Ovi Coast and Ovi Beach, and has spread to Ovi Marsh. It can live on land as well as in the water, though preferably on a wet surface because it dries out very easily. It also moves faster in the water. Each tendril can be used to pull the crastrum along the ground or to swim through the water, slightly faster than its ancestor but still very slow since it only gets its energy from photosynthesis. Its spiral shape causes it to spin slowly while moving. On land, the spiral crastrum always lies flat on the ground, which is the reason why it can't move very fast. When "walking" underwater, it is able to lift its center from the ground, moving quicker due to less friction. When swimming, it can even fold up to a hollow ball.
